Supporting All Saints Church, Morston
Affordable Art Sale May 3rd - 6th 2024
Friends of Morston Church held an 'Affordable Art Sale' in Morston village hall over the early May Bank Holiday Weekend of 2024.
All pieces on sale were kindly donated, gathered and collected from villagers, nearby Norfolk residents, friends and family. The artwork was all 'affordably' priced, each labelled with a little information about the piece, the artist and its history if available. As with all good Morston events, visitors to the sale were promised refreshments in the form of home-made cakes, along with tea and coffee, plus a raffle - with the offer of a work by Norfolk artist Max Angus as the tempting prize.
On Friday 3rd May, tickets were sold for an exclusive Private View from 6.00 pm - 8.00 pm, which was kindly sponsored by Bishop & Miller, Valuers & Auctioneers of Norfolk & Suffolk. Guests were the first to see (and buy) the works of art while enjoying drinks and high quality home-made canapés provided by villagers. To date, the estimated amount raised exceeded £6,500.00 (with more to come from those pieces sold at auction.)

A fish and chip supper was ordered for our hard-working volunteers and organisers, delivered to us by The Morston Anchor - with thanks!
